Discover Adult Self Defense Martial Art Karate

Great cooperative training atmosphere to learn effective self-defense reactions or just the Art of Okinawan Shorin Ryu Karate. The 9th Degree Karate Master with 40+ years of experience teaches many of the classes. A 3rd Degree Woman instructor teaches other classes and the women's classes. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Brutal self-defense reactions are taught slowly so you learn and adjust to your specific body without hurting your training partner. Classes everyday of the week.

Great traditional instruction! Friendly instructor and students.

These friendly small classes allow for individual instruction by the 7th Degree instructor. The instructor works with students to improve their techniques regardless of previous training, or lack thereof. Friendly atmosphere. None of the students attempted to impress me or the instructor. No B.S. or fancy uniforms, just traditional karate gis. Occassional visits by high-ranking Okinawan karate masters, too! There are lots of opportunities to work one-on-one with other students and the instructor, yet there is no competetion in class. What a great place to learn karate! I would recommend this to anyone interested in learning traditional karate.

I looked at a lot of karate schools where new students had to sign contracts and you become another face in the crowd of students. There are no contracts here! In fact, you don't start paying for instruction until you decide you will become a dedicated student. Plus the friendly students all help each other learn new techniques and improve on those they know.
