Ive been at Tidewater Systema a little past a year now. I never know what to expect when i come to train but at the same time i always go expecting to leave having learned something new about myself. This school has taught me so much about myself through the awesome instructors and their dedication and love of this art. i feel healthier and happier than ever and I will never stop applying Systema to my life after all it has taught me.

I started training with the people at Tidewater Systema about 8 months ago. I felt a desire to learn some skills that could protect myself and my family. To be honest I just felt the need to do something different. This system of training is much more than just self defense; it address your total person. Additionally, the friendships that I have made are some of my best.

Being a small female of cough, early forties :), I was unsure what to expect going into this martial art. I was extremely happy with what I then experienced! The instructors and students that I encountered were amazing and the life skills that I learned have helped me in my battle with cancer. I have had to stop my full training, but am always welcome with open arms every time I go to visit or am able to go to a class. This art trains your mind, body and soul to work with YOUR body's strengths, weaknesses and size. Systema is fantastic!!

The most amazing group of people. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Leave your ego at the door and be prepared to learn more about yourself and discover how to survive and live in a better way that is healthy to you and those who are around you. There are 4 certified instructors, each one with their own unique way of teaching. No two classes are the same.
