Great School to traditonal or modern self defense

The schools is small and out of the way. Its on the property of the dojo head Mr. Fitzgerald. Its not fancy all but gets the job done. The Judo instructors are well versed and knowledgeable about all things Judo from all Kodokan Judo Kata to competition level techniques.
Mr. Fitzgerald is very knowledgeable about Samurai Jujutsu, weapons, history and various popular schools. He teaches the samurai Jujutsu and weapons as well as a modern American Jujutsu system. He stress actual application of principles and not techniques. He says "techniques are static, prearranged sets of movements that are designed to teach principles that should be used. They kata arent the end all be all. "
