Programs & Class Schedule

Classes meet Monday evenings 6 to 8 PM and Saturday morning 9 to 11AM. Program operates as a family orientated christian outreach program at the Maranatha Assembly of God Church Facility. Training is open to most age ranges. A lower age limit is not specifically set, however karateka need to be of sufficient maturity to stay focused throughout class, and to reliably exert effort towards achieving the training goals without disrupting class. There is similarly no upper limit. Seniors are welcome. The Forest Lake dojo operates under and is part of the International Karate League (IKL), Region 5, under the leadership of Sensei Mike Moe, who is our regional director. IKL is an international organization that operates under the direction and authority of it’s founder Shihan Walter K. Nishioka. The style of Karate studied was developed by Shihan. The style can be readily described as a traditional Shorin-Ryu style with modifications from Wado-Ryu and White Crane Crane Kung-fu. Contracts are not required however a monthly fee of $10.00 ($30.00 max per family) is required.
