Albany Karate for Kids

A non-aggressive program for kids ages 6-Teens taught by Sensei Dara. Classes are held at the Albany Community Center and offer one on one instruction in a small class environment. All abilities are welcome!

Students will learn Tae Kwon Do, Japanese weapons and hands on self-defense techniques. Sensei Dara is recognized as an award winning instructor throughout the Bay area for her positive teaching style and empowerment work with young people. Her classes are also endorsed by the Albany Police Department.

Programs & Class Schedule

Albany Karate for kids is a non-aggressive program in the East Bay for ages 6-Teens taught by Sensei Dara Connolly. Classes are available at the Albany Community Center (510-524-9283) and are taught after-school and on weekends. This program is recognized for having a positive teaching style that develops self-confidence and skill in young people. Her classes emphasize one on one instruction in a family friendly environment and beginners are welcome at any time. Students will learn Tae Kwon Do, Japanese Weapons and practical self-defense techniques.
