If you want to learn authentic martial arts and become a fighter, then come here. Fighting with no gears, bare foot bare knuckle, knock down style. Its headquarter is in Japan, so this is the real thing, not some made up American martial arts.

My name is Roy Elghanayan. I am a Krav Maga & Israeli Ju Jitsu expert. Sensei Tom Callahan is a true black belt that knows how to teach you the way to get to a high level of performance. He knows all his students by name, and he gives everyone personal attention. My students and I, we go to train with sensei Tom every other month or so. We spar together too. Really great students, great vibe! You will love it. Try one class and you will see what I am talking about! OSS! Sensei RE

I have been training martial arts for more than 15 years. I come from a background in Brazilian jiujitsu, Muay Thai and Filipino martial arts. I never imagined myself falling in love with a Traditional style as I am a highly competitive guy and like to spar and practice application in realistic settings. Sensei Tom changed my views on that. He is a fantastic teacher. Kyokushin is a real fighting art. It is not what I expected. If you think your conditioned think again. The style is a bareknuckle fighting / knockdown karate style and it really trains you to be tough mentally (although in a safe environment). The injury rate is low at the school and most injuries are minor and consist of pulled muscles from what i've seen so far. We practice everything from street application to tournament kyokushin style sparring to sparring with punching to the face etc... Classes seem to change depending on what we are lacking in and Sensei Tom seems to always be aware of where are needs are in terms of training. The classes are not big which allows a lot of private attention. Overall one of the best academies I've trained at. I would recommend this school to anyone looking to become more conditioned, better fighter / self defense / learn a traditional style with a competitive side or looking for an insane workout.
Sensei Tom has the unique ability to teach classic martial arts in a way which has all the benefits but none of the drawbacks of traditional dojo dynamics. He teaches classes but is very aware of each individual and collaborates with every student to help them achieve their own goals.
