Our son started class summer 2012 at age 5 with his only impression of karate being what he saw on Power Rangers and other shows. We didn't know what to expect and have been so impressed! In the past 14 months he has grown so much and is so excited to go to class each and every time. I would highly recommend FMAA!

this Dojo is by far the best, amazing people run it and a great atmosphere, amazing work outs. The instructors are by far my favorite!!!

Initially, I enrolled in Family Martial Arts Academy because my husband and I had been involved in a car accident, and we needed a disciplined exercise program to help us recover. However, shortly after I joined, I really began to enjoy learning Karate immensely. Sensei Paul Keller and each one of his other instructors, through their own interesting teaching styles, have added elements of their own vast personal experience to my own knowledge of the art, which has improved my technique steadily. In addition to the improvement in my fitness level, I very much appreciate the level of professionalism, dedication, discipline, and family-oriented methodology exhibited by FMAA. Definitely a positive life-changing experience to be learning Karate at FMAA!

This school has helped me tremendously in life. The energy of the people is one of the most powerful aspects of this experience. It is a wonderfully healthy environment and Sensei Paul is a true master of martial arts and also the art of living. The school has helped me condition my skills, my body and my mind. Family Martial Arts Academy in Beaverton has provided me with the opportunity and support to reach toward my greatest potential. Sensei Paul Keller and all of the instructors have been instrumental in helping me to set goals and achieve them in regard to my physical health and my emotional growth. The family nature of this martial arts school creates a safe environment for all of us to explore, learn, make mistakes, and grow. Learning karate has improved my confidence in parenting, my self defense skills, my physical strength and stamina, and my spiritual direction in life.
