After being without an instructor for a couple of years, I was looking for a teacher that fit with my goals for Tai Chi. It was by chance that I found out about Max and his classes at Millennium Life Center. He is an instructor with passion and dedication to teaching all of us the depths of Tai Chi. My interest in the martial arts aspects and health benefits of Tai Chi fits perfectly with what Max is teaching. He is very dedicated teacher and works with each of us to guide us through our various stages of training. He has a solid background for teaching all levels of students. I'm so happy that I found these classes where everyone is very friendly and welcoming.

For many years I’ve wanted to learn tai chi, however I wasn’t able to find a teacher or classes that met my needs. I’m delighted to say that Max’s teaching methods and his long history of training in the internal and external martial arts, not to mention his passion for tai chi, are just what I was looking for. The small but close group of dedicated students in our class is an added benefit. I look forward to going to practice twice a week.

Class always starts with standard warmup.
Applications are worked into explanations of the form. The yang 37 tai chi form and simplified form.
And then there are sword forms.

Max brings years of training, practice, and experience to each and every class. Never boring, classes explore not only traditional tai chi but also the simplified forms, tai chi sword form, and even a Northern Shaolin sword form, one of my favorite. He explains not simply the physical moves (well!) but also the martial application and the energy concepts.

Always lots of variety to the class. I feel like I learn something different and new with each session. Max is a great teacher with lots of experience. I appreciate his focus on the meditation aspects of the practice, in addition to the physical movements.
Great class and amazing studio space!
I recently moved to northwest Arkansas, and was looking for a Yang style class to continue a practice I had only just started in Pennsylvania. I have learned quite a bit in Max’s class in only a few short months, where we study the Yang 37, and the Yang 24. We also work in both a broad sword and long sword form. In addition to these foms we also utilize the eight piece brocade at the beginning of each class. The class is friendly, and there is frequently lively discussion. I’d recommend this class to anyone looking to begin, continue, or supplement an existing practice. It’s quite excellent.
