Indo Martial Arts - Silat Serak

Pentjak Silat Serak from the VDT Academy by Guru West Bolz.

Serak is a close combat art from Indonesia that studies angles and position to overcome an opponent. Training is done on the pantjar, a floor grid system that encodes the footwork. Study includes Jurus (hand forms), Langkahs (stepping patterns), Sambuts (direct techniques), Buangs (throw and control techniques), Tendjekan (offensive striking), Senjata (weapons), and more.

Guru West Bolz has been in the martial arts since 1991, and has taught Serak for over 15 years. His teacher is Pendekar Victor de Thouars, a Dutch-Indonesian master of the art.
