Before I joined range martial arts my self confidence

was very low and I Realy didn't like being out in public much.

Now a little over 2 years later I have gained so much confidence in my self.

I don't mind going out in public any more.

I recommend Range Martial Arts to any one looking to improve them selfs both mentally and physically.

I have trained in the studio as a teenager and as an adult since 1996 and currently am a 1st degree certified World Tang Soo Do Association Black Belt instructor. Many things have changed over the years but the quality of the instruction continues to be excellent while having been adapted and changed over the years.

WTSDA martial arts has been taught the longest at the school. Each WTSDA black belt instructor has to go through a program set by the studio and WTSDA and be tested in order to become a certified instructor. The quality of the instructors is shown through the attention to detail they give each individual student to prepare them to move through the ranks from white belt to black belt. Each student learns various Korean words and commands.

The studio, Range Martial Arts, in Chisholm, MN has been the longest running Korean martial arts school on the Iron Range in Minnesota. Haidong Gumdo has recently been added to the school after careful planning with a Master in Haidong Gumdo from the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. A WTSDA black belt instructor took charge and trained up before being allowed to teach the Haindong Gumdo material to insure quality of the instruction.

I have two children enrolled in classes here. The instructors are patient and genuinely care about their students. They talk WITH the kids, not AT the kids to help make the place more comfortable for them. The instructors also are willing to take time from their class to greet people at the door and answer any questions they have. The place is kept clean and equipment is kept out of the way. Excellent place for kids to learn and develop people skills!

I have trained at this school as a teenager as well as an adult under both owners. The instruction has always been top-notch and the experience of the instructors shows through individualized teaching of the techniques to the students. The current instructors started as students at this school, and know first-hand many of the difficulties a student may face. They continue to develop young people with leadership skills, honor and respect that will eventually shape the communities of the future.
