Beginners and experienced Kendo/Kumdo practitioners are welcome. If you want to stop by and watch, we welcome you to come to a class. We suggest that new students should show up at class wearing loose clothing such as sweat pants and a t-shirt --something which will not impair movement. No prior experience is required to join the club. Everyone is welcome.
The following Martial Arts Styles are offered at University of Iowa Kendo:
Classes are held regularly on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30-7:00 pm in Room S461, and Saturdays at 1:00-3:00 pm in Room S515 of the University Field House. Students can buy a rec center membership or pay the drop in fee. The fee does not apply to watch class. Cost is $30 per semester. You do not have to be a staff or student of the university to join.
