I had high hopes but sadly the quote on quote adults class had four adults and around a dozen 12 to 15 year olds manly what was taught to all, not just me was stretching techniques a few kicks and wristlock techniques. I was interested in their combatives program but you have still pay a 50$ extra monthly fee as well as the 200$ a month cost (150$, 120$ if you sign a 12 to 6 month contract) they teach Mon wens and Fri day, but no Friday in summer. They do sparring once a week randomly and I saw only kid fighters. If you pay I believe 50$ more, you get in the black belts program and can go Tues and Thurs. Adult classes are 6:30 to 7:30 Mon and wensday.

I cannot say enough good things about what JJK Hapkido has done for my son. Not only can he adequately defend himself, now, but he has more confidence too! They also reinforce the respect and politeness that we instill in him at home.

The Staff at Jin Jung Kwan Hapkido are second to none!! My child is learning not only to defend herself and protect herself, but also discipline and self respect. My child used to have to take medication for her ADHD but since joining Jin Jung Kwan Hapkido that hasn't been necessary since starting at this school. Her grades have improved in school her behavior at home has improved, and much more. too much to even begin to explain, you'll just have to come see for yourself. i highly recommend Jin Jung Kwan Hapkido, Grand Master Rhoades and his entire team of instructors to anyone.

i also must add. .. we tried Gracie Baja Jiu Jitsu and also looked into Andre's academy and I found this to be the best around before we even went to seek out info, we knew as soon as we met the staff this was the place for us!! feel's like 1 big family

I studied judo in Indianapolis and earned my brown belt. JJK Hapkido USA is by far more positively demanding than I have ever experienced! Discipline is achieved only with respect, and respect for the students and parents is abundant. I would recommend this Dojang to anyone who is serious about bettering themselves physically and mentally.

Hapkido USA has made an enormous impact on our family's lives. I have had 3 boys attend Hapkido in the last 10 years, as well as myself (the Emower Class). Words cannot express the appreciation, admiration and overall difference the Hapkido family has made for myself and for my family for nearly a decade. Grandmaster Rhoades, Miss Tracy and the entire staff, and students have taught us, not only self-defense, respect for God and the importance of family, but also self-respect, and respect and kindness for others. The care and concern they have for all is truly heartfelt! It's not just a school to me, it is almost a way of life in a fun environment that teaches many important values that we should all have. In 2008 I started attending Ms. Tracy’s Empower class as my step son was already training under Grand Master Rhoades. Seeing the growth and maturity that was being displayed by this 8 year old student I was impressed with the school. Initially I just wanted to get into shape but I received a whole lot more. There is a strong sisterhood among the Empower class with Ms. Tracy as our leader. The women in the Empower class are my friends not just my classmates, they were there for me when my mother suddenly passed away as well as to celebrate the birth of my youngest child who is now four years old. My 9 year old started training at the age of 5. He had been diagnosed with ADHD and was having a challenging time with school, I am happy to say that the discipline, respect for others, and ability to listen to and follow directions learned at JJK has him now on honor roll. The end result is a confident and respectful young man who will be successful in life. I feel it would be a mistake for any parent to enroll their child at any other school than JJK Hapkido, other schools are not the same. Most people don’t fully appreciate the caliber of teacher Grand Master Rhoades is. I have met students from other Countries that have come here to train! As well as Police officers that have received his training. But beyond all of that he is a humble person who loves to help others. Voted Wentzville citizen of the year.

Three and half years ago, I entered Jin Jung Kwan Hapkido-USA in hopes of finding a supplemental program for self-defense to aid in my law enforcement profession. Not only did I find exactly what I was looking for in my own backyard and signed up the very next day, but I found an extended family! Grandmaster Rhoades’s dedication to instruct his students in the most comprehensive form of martial art that is Jin Jung Kwan Hapkido and willingness to give back to his community that he serves makes this school incomparable to any other. Jin Jung Kwan Hapkido is not just a martial art but a lifestyle choice and if you make that choice, your opportunities are endless. The sacrifices that Grandmaster Rhoades has made, and continues to make, to ensure his students receive the best quality training is immeasurable. Not only do I continue to train and instruct, but my five year old son has also enrolled and the difference it has made with his discipline and respect is amazing. Grandmaster Rhoades and his school is in a class by itself. My son is a third degree Black Belt and has matured into a fine young man. I credit Grandmaster Rhoades for helping to teach my son about honor, discipline, and respect. Aside from the physical training it is those character qualities which my son will carry with him for the rest of his life.

I started in 2008. At 42 I was at my peak weight, 330 pounds. All my joints hurt and could not do much because the shape I was in. After sitting down and talking to Grand Master Rhoades, I had the feeling that here was a man that could help get me where I needed to be, and I was almost right. GMR took me so far beyond the point I had thought of. My health is much better now, down to 250 pounds, instructing in class and taking JJK combatives program, and working every day to give back what Hapkido USA has gave me and my family. My oldist daughter is in the woman's empowerment class. And it cannot say enough about the growth I have seen in her. The. Training is real and not just training for imaginary attackers. it is effective training for real life situations, single or multiple attackers. If you want the best thing you can do for you and your family. All I can say is. See you in class!!!!

Over 12 years ago I entered the JJK Hapkido School in hopes of finding something that would help my 6 year old daughter, Kerry, focus her excessive amount of energy. Not only was Kerry's physical energy focused, but Hapkido also instilled a valuable sense of right and wrong and 12 years later, Kerry is a 2nd degree black belt that is very independent and self confidant. Grandmaster Rhoades works tirelessly to help all his students achieve any goals they set. JJK Hapkido is not only the most comprehensive martial art available, but any student lucky enough to train under Grandmaster Rhoades will know that as they promote through the ranks, their skill level will be the best it can be for that level. Jin Jung Kwan Hapkido is truly a family-oriented school and we are blessed to be a part of that family.

I selected Jin Jung Kwan Hapkido, out of many, to work with Movie Stream Productions for realistic martial arts choreography, because of their excellent attitudes in self-defense, women's empowerment, and a well rounded children's program, as well as superior skill. Grandmaster Rhoades is a community leader as well as Vice President of the worldwide organization. More importantly, our grandchildren want to continue there.

This school is not only a place to to study Jing Jung Kwan Hapkido, but it is a lifestyle that will truly change your perception on life. I have been training here going on 7 years, two of my children are currently enrolled and the younger two will start when they are of age. My prayer is that everyone would give this opportunity to there children so they may be able to make better choices with Life. Not only will they be able to defend themselves against most attackers, but they are going to start learning what to fight for. My kids are making good grades (all A's) and that's because Hapkido (if taught by this school) teaches them so much more than kicking and punching. Teaches them the self control and discipline that young kids need these days. As for an adult JJK Hapkido can bring you a sense of awareness that is needed in today's society. The door is open and when you are enrolled you can take what you have learned to any level you choose. If you have the motivation and determination to make Black Belt I can promise you that your confidence of your abilities will be well worth the sweat and tears it takes to get there. Joining JJK Hapkido has been one of the most rewarding decisions I’ve made for my family. The first time we entered Jin Jung Kwan Hapkido, our only intention was to let our kids try a free lesson and use up some energy. We walked out of that dojang having signed up all five of our children, and committing ourselves to do whatever it took to keep our children in such a positive, moral, and ethical environment. Jin Jung Kwan Hapkido teaches more than punches and jabs. We are excited that our children are being held to the highest standards in their education, manners, respect, morals, ethics, and self-discipline. The instructors are top notch and I am always impressed with the amount of patience they have with younger children. Each child is pushed to do their personal best and eager to better themselves in every way. We are so thankful that we found Jin Jung Kwan Hapkido and their amazing staff.

The technique taught at HapKiDo USA is second to none, beyond any doubt. But what really sets them apart at HKD-USA is the additional teaching. With enough time, anyone can be taught to kick, punch, grapple, etc. What elevated them to a truly exceptional level, what makes them special, is the emphasis on character, on knowing why you fight, on having something to fight for. The ability to fight, to kick, punch, throw, is not so important as developing the strength of character to be willing to fight for something, whether it's literally in defending yourself or your family, or it's having the courage to express and defend your beliefs and convictions against opposition. It's not just practicing the motions to learn the technique, but developing the humility to see that you may learn from anyone. It's not just about developing the physical ability to pass an obstacle or master an exercise, but growing in perseverance to continue after you've been told that your dream is impossible. All of these qualities can be honed here, under the tutelage of Grandmaster Rhoades and his instructors. That is why I would recommend them to anyone seeking to grow in any of these areas, because they foster an environment that nourishes that kind of growth.

This is the only school my family and I will go to. We tried other schools before Hapkido but were never happy with them. Jin Jung Kwan Hapkido is the best in the world! Great instructors and self discipline that keeps you coming back for more. Everyone is family here. I would recommend this school to anyone.
