Who ever wrote the previous review has obviously not been back to the school in twenty years. The students there are very respectful and there is a feeling of family. The teaching is superb and the sparring gets as hard or easy as you want it. I learned so much sparring the senior students which you can do on day one. It is very much a sparring school. This is not a commercial school it is a real Kung Fu school. Many a practitioner of martial arts have come to the school to prove themselves and left thinking what have I been doing all this time. I can't believe any of the students that call this school their home would be disrespectful. When I saw the review saying the students didn't fight well, well I know more than a few that would like to prove him wrong. I didn't know what sparring was until I found this school. Thank you Sifu Lee!

Lee Sifu is one of the greats...his knowledge is comprehensive and his real life experience is extensive. Unfortunately his current students going back 10+ plus years don't cut it. Sloppy forms, unable to fight, disrespectful to the senior students and therefore to Sifu and the school. Don't waste your time going here and if you must, take private lessons from Sifu. You're better off going to Hung Sing Kwoon, this is where Lee Sifu was taught by Lau Bun. In case you are wondering I am the first and the most senior student of Lee Sifu and quite frankly I am disgusted by the students now going through the motions at the school.

The E. Y. Lee Kung Fu School is undoubtedly the best martial arts school in the San Francisco Bay Area. This traditional school is the real deal, with individual instruction conducted personally by Sifu E. Y. Lee in Choy Li Fut, Yang style Tai Chi, and Qi Gong. Special group classes featuring running, meditation, self-defense, and sparring are held Wednesday evenings and Saturday at noon. Sifu Lee has been studying martial arts since he was a young boy in China and will offer you one of the best martial arts experiences ever! Call or stop by today!
Sifu Lee is a true warrior a decorated Korean War veteran born in the US and raised in China. Sifu recently fought throat cancer and WON! His kung fu training worked! During sifu's absence he authorized a group of his loyal senior student/instructors to maintain the school, while he was under- going medical treatment(he is back and at the school every Saturday supervising class. Regarding the forms and sparring, I welcome anyone to come by and check us out, and be the judge. We practice hand & weapon forms(Hung Sing Choy Li Fut & Yang Tai Chi ) with modern day application. We do sparring, grappling, weapons sparring, weapon defense, tai chi push hands, chi kung, iron palm, and meditation. Sifu Lee oversees the instruction.
