Aikido Bismarck Martial Arts
Jason Austad Sensei began training Aikido in the year 2000, in southern California at Kenshinkan Aikido of North County. Upon graduating from the Uchideshi program at Nippon Kan Aikido in Denver, CO in 2005, Jason was invited by Gaku Homma Sensei to assist with instruction at seminars in Nepal and India.
With the help of Homma Sensei, Jason was able to spend two months training Aikido at Aiki Shuren Dojo in Akita, Japan, and one month as uchideshi in Iwama, Japan, under Hitohiro Saito Sensei.

Aikido Bismarck (aikidobismarck.com) is committed to the consistent teaching of Aikido techniques and of its concepts to students both on and off the mat. The school strives to provide a comfortable, relaxed, and positive learning environment where all students are trained to help each other and to focus on cooperation as a tool for successful learning.
Aikido Bismarck seeks to promote the advancement of students' proficiency, skill, and ability to train Aikido by using visual, kinesthetic and auditory explanations. All who wish to train are welcome
Mondays 5:45 - 7:00pm Bukiwaza*
Tuesdays 5:30 - 6:30pm Kids Class; 6:40 - 8pm Tai jitsu, Adults**
Thursdays 5:30 - 6:30pm Kids Class; 6:40 - 8pm Tai jitsu, Adults**
Saturdays 8:45 - 10:00am Bukiwaza & Tai jitsu
*Bukiwaza = weapons
**Tai jitsu = open hand
