Been in martial arts for over 40 years. The last 5 at Roswell Budokan. Good training with good people. Highly recommend.
This school is "Dead-on" great place for a family to learn real martial arts.

I came over from Gracie Barra, after 5 years of bjj. I brought my son and my wife with me. The people at Atlanta Budokan are real. The kids class is well run and steller. The adult instruction is practical and very, very realistic.
The prices are fair, they even put them on the web page for all to see!
I can't say enough about this place. I rolled with 3 or 4 of their blue belts, when I first got there and lost each time :-0 They were super cool, didn't rub it in and even took the time to show me, a few things I did wrong!!
The instructor for bjj is a world champ. The sword class is worth the money, "big time" you learn how to defend yourself with a stick or bladed weapon. They even have class on Sunday after church!!!
In short at least check out this school before you make a final decision.

Biggest mat anywhere, awesome facility, classes every day that can accommodate almost any schedule, veteran and caring instructors with diverse backgrounds in Aikido and other arts, and very friendly members ready to help anyone willing to learn.

Great aikido dojo ! Have practice with them since I moved from Dallas and could not have joined a better group of people. The seminars are very popular and the mat is huge ! Great way to experience the aikido energy !

They have a very good Aikido program for both kids and adults. Classes are held 7 days a week. They also have other martial arts and fitness programs.
Went with my son to observe a class before enrolling. Glad we did. Class size was small and had 2 black belts, 3 yellow belts and one white belt. The class was very unstructured. Did not start on time. Sensei and students spent the first half hour informally stretching...more giggling than stretching. Instruction, again, was more giggling than instruction...with the white belt totally tuned out, off the mat half the time reading books. Too much talking about non judo related matters when on the mat.
I had hoped to share with my son my love of judo, the beauty, grace, fluidity, power and discipline. He was excited to possibly study the same martial art as his dad (he is a black belt in karate). I left there ashamed at how the class was run, and he left there completely uninterested in judo.
