Programs & Class Schedule
This is a Self-Defense based martial art program. Influences from Okinawan, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese martial arts combine to create a "principle-based" or "concept-driven" system. Techniques from "range-specific" systems like Kyokushin Karate, Aikido, Taekwondo, and Wing Chun are brought together along with the science of efficient movement and structure of the human body. Classical forms are learned, then torn apart to core concepts. Becoming a well-rounded martial artist/self-defense practitioner is the goal. We are not a competition based program in any way. We will never charge you for a belt testing, nor will you ever have to sign a contract. Aside from our standard adult class, we also have a youth program age 7 and up, we have a Parent-Child/Family Class and frequently run Women's Self-Defense Seminars. We are also frequented by guest instructors. Classes are Mondays and Wednesdays in Fraser, CO. Visit the website at www.zenmountainmartialarts.com
