Training here with Master Yum has been incredible. He is extremely knowledgeable and skilled in the art of Hwa Rang Do. He has had years of training around the world and is well qualified to teach new students and help existing students improve on what they already know. He cares about each of his students and wants them to succeed in the school and out side in everything they do. He has a very good balance between having fun when it is time to have fun and being serious when its time to be serious.

The school is more of a community than just a place you go to learn martial arts. Everyone is friendly and ready to help each other out. As Master Yum says himself, "Hwa Rang is family" and the school starts to feel like a family.

Yum's Karate is great for both kids and adults. For kids there is a safe environment for even the youngest kids to learn, grow, and make friends. Not only will they learn self defense which will stay with them, but they will learn how to be a leader to other people in their lives. They will develop self-discipline and grow strong character which will carry them far in their lives.

For adults Hwa Rang Do is a great way to stay active and keep healthy. There is a wide range of students from young adults to parents with kids who take classes, so regardless of your previous experience it is easy to start.

There is no scam here. The pricing is very fair and worth every penny. You will receive good instruction from knowledgeable instructors. Any school can accept your money and teach, but here they genuinely want to see you learn, improve, and be the best you can be. For them it is not about becoming a black belt, but becoming a person that others look up to.

Hwa rang do is a private karate doing nothing except feeding money of if its students. The instructors get paid and do nothing while the volunteers spend hours helping. The master doesn't know anything and just sits in his office clipping his tienails

I've been doing yums hwa rang do for years not until I kept on being asked there to come volunteer they repetitively ask you to help out and if you don't you get in trouble. Over the hundreds of hours of volunteering I have not gotten one hour of community service or one penny. I do not recommend this place and it will get you for the long run.
