When I see places like this, I wonder why are they still opened? Why would people go there?

I don’t know how certain people can claim to be instructors and teach useless stuff.

Poor school with poor instruction quality. In my opinion, these people just want your money out your wallet.

Best Kung Fu School in Milwaukee

This is a traditional Northern style Shaolin Kung Fu school. The instruction is very good here and the lineage of the system is upheld by Jeff Nickel, the current head instructor of the school. If you want to learn a system that has been battle tested then this is the style and place to do that. If you are preoccupied with getting belt rank quickly, then check out one of the mcdojo's in town instead. The only negative about the place is the lack of skill and humility demonstrated by one instructor, a guy named Steve, but other than that the place is really a good facility to learn kung fu. I recommend this school for learning kung fu and tai chi.

Phony Martial Arts School

The Yin's Chinese Kung Fu Center was dissolved right after the death of Grand Master Yin (1988). Jeff Nickel reopened the school as Chinese Kung Fu Center later claiming to be a Yin's successor. In reality, Mr. Nickel trained only 4 years under Yin and he didn't achieve an Instructor certification or a SiFu title. He does not have kung fu proficiency. He has been also sued by the Yin's family for false claims about his school accreditation. The Chinese Kung Fu Center does not represent Yin's lineage and heritage. The only schools carrying Yn's heritage in the US are the "Master Lu Fitness Center" in Salt Lake City, Utah, and the "Art of Kung Fu from Grand Master Yin" in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Instructors at the Chinese Kung Fu Center (all not qualified or certified) do not teach practical self-defense, kung fu sparring, or fighting applications. They only teach free body gymnastic exercises and simple forms.

I strongly do not recommend this school. It would be just a waste of time and money.

Beware of this school!

This school started off as a great place to train real kung fu when Yin Chian Ho founded it 30 years ago. It has since gone through some turbulence which included a shady change in power in the early 90's and continues as unqualified "instructors" are given teaching authority.

There are hidden costs including paying anywhere from $120-$190 to learn forms that normally take years of basic training to even attempt them. It is not uncommon for beginners who haven't learned Tan Tui to attempt to learn Guan Dao or Spear as long as they pay the extra fee!!

Other hidden costs include charging students an activity fee to drink water that the head instructor gets out of the womens bathroom!!!

After trying this school it is my opinion that it is not credible, but if you want to pay extra money as I have then it may be ok for you.

I was dismayed to learn that the head instructor only competed twice in his life and in his last match was knocked out by a 14 year old boy!!!
