Yamamizu Ryu Bujutsu Kai schools are a hybrid style developed over the 45+ years of experience of the chief instructor of all the schools in the ryuha. It is comprised of techniques stemming from the experience of W.Kent Bergstrom MSAcOM, the chief instructor. Mr. Bergstroms highest achievement to date is that of 10th degree black belt in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu awarded directly by Grand Master Masaaki Hatsumi Soke of Japan. Mr. Bergstrom has trained at length numerous times in Asia as well as steadily in the USA. Early training in Hapkido, living in Korea from 1978-79, Matsubayashi Shorin Ryu for over a decade, Kobayashi styled Chubu Shorin Ryu for over a decade, Jujutsu and Aikijujutsu also trained extensively. And regular trips to Japan to train with GM M.Hatsumi Sensei.
Recognition of being a GM himself of YMRBK in 2003 he continues to teach in this old world traditional way.
