Studied with them form 95 to 2006. The head sensei no longer teaches and passed the school onto his dai sempai (head student.) Really great bunch of guys to know and serious bugeisha. Curriculum is equal mixes of battojutsu (sword drawing), sojutsu (spear), kumiuchi (armored grappling), tantojutsu (dagger) heiho (tactics) and a serious dose of moral/philosophical training based on traditional Japanese warrior philosophies. They expect you to apply them outside of the school and if they find out you don't then they wont ask you to continue. School origins were from Tosa modern Koichi) and one of the branch lines of Omori ryu, seems to be an interesting mix of Shintoryu as well but was right for the place and time period. These are the most physically conditioned group of young martialists i have ever encountered. They train for the battlefield the way koryu was trained. Don't expect to survive the first practice without puking.

funtastically lethal
I attended their week-long batto jutsu seminar in November 2012. It was taught by one of the senior sensei of the ryu who flew in for the seminar. The teaching was dynamic and highly technical. It was an incredible five day sword workout covering fundamental and intermediate techniques. Lots of similarities and contrasting techniques and theories with Musoshinden Ryu and Jikiden were brought out in the teachings and everything was approached from both a technical and application point of view, incredibly thorough. Last day the sensei did a great enbu including techniques of the ryu along with Omori, Eishin, Jikiden, and several other styles. Great time, great guys!
