It was a nice place when we first started going but then went down hill when he stated yelling and my child didn't want to keep going there

My son and I have trained with Mr. Leyesa for 8 years. I cannot say enough about what a great experience it has been for both of us. The lessons taught by Mr. Leyesa do not end when the student leaves class. Mr. Leyesa's passion for the martial arts is contagious. He continues to push himself to grow and improve and that ensures that there is always something new for him to offer his students. He also demands the same level of commitment from any instructor that works with him. Mr. Leyesa is extremely knowledgeable and keeps the classes interesting and fun while always setting high expectations for his students to achieve. Training with him is hard work but it is worth every minute. I would recommend this school to anyone who expresses a sincere interest in training in the martial arts or is looking to change schools.

At last, a martial arts school that is focused on actually teaching martial arts ! The owner of this school teaches all the classes and makes sure that you know how to do all the techniques properly. You can be sure that you will actually EARN your belts here.

My 4 year old son has been attending for about 7 months. He is currently in the Super Hero class and loves it! His focus has improved even beyond the classes. Mr. Leyesa is a good balance of fun and discipline. I would highly recommend to anyone in the area to sign their child up for classes.

Wushu Taekwon-Do Academy is my second home. Everyday I go to class. Without Mr. Christopher Leyesa, I wouldn't be the person that I am today. I have grown so much as a person and as a Martial artist that if I was faced with a hard decision, I would be able to make it without a moments hesitation. This school provides a very welcoming atmosphere which creates a trust between the students and the teachers, as well as the parents and the teachers. When I was younger I was always afraid of being out of the box, or different. Doing martial arts has taught me ow to be a leader instead of a follower. If I didn't have Mr. Leyesa as a teacher, I don't know where i will be. I'm glad I found the right teacher!

I training in taekwondo for the last fifteen years and I haven't ever had a better instructor. Chris leyesa is the best instructor around not only does he constantly challenge you and push your limits he trains along side you and allows you to challenge you too. Even if you don't want to train here for the awesome instructor come here for a school unlike any other. The quality of students here is unsurpassed. Students are constantly helping each other get better and the higher ranks don't ever look down or discourage the younger and or lower ranks. This is the best I have ever seen from the instructor to the students to the friends you will make this place has it all. Wushu Taekwon Do academy has been an outstanding experience for my 7 year old son. He started at age 5, and has enjoyed attending on a daily basis. The owner/teacher is amazing with all kids and teaches them discipline and helps them stay focused. Has done wonders for a hyper active boy with a short attention span! Highly recommend this academy. Prices also very reasonable and schedule very flexible.

Wushu Taekwondo Academy is owned and operated by one of the best Martial Artists in NJ. The students are all hard-working their efforts pay off at competition where they earn gold medals placing first in their division in both Taekwondo and Wushu. If you want your child to have first class experience in martial arts, WTA is where to be!

The teachers at this school makes sure they bring out your full potential. You feel welcome every time you have class. Classes are inspiring and can also be a challenge. Warm ups and exercises change every class, and this keeps you engaged the whole time. I would highly recommend this school to others.

Wushu Taekwon-Do Academy has and excellent staff that is unsurpassed in the area of Central NJ. The classes are always engaging, well-organized and the students are hard working. Everyone there pushes you to be your best. They have an excellent self-defense program for women. What I like best is the individualized attention the instructors pay to each student so their needs are met. WTA has a family-like atmosphere and everyone is very welcoming. It's a great place to train in Wushu and Taekwondo.
