Great Traditional training, in safe and friendly atmosphere

A great little gem in Woodhaven Queens, NY. Shihan Luis is one of those great instructors of the arts; his dedication shows. He is patient, kind and cares for each one of the students on the floor; whether you are a old seasoned student or someone coming in to try a free class. He motivates you to do your best not just in class but in life!!!!! Old school hard physical training is at the core of this dojo; another rare thing in this day and age of martial arts. Self-defense training that will bring you home (God forbid you are attacked in the streets) if you have to defend yourself. Shihan Luis gets on the floor and does the exercises with you to let you know he's there with you, and to help you get stronger. I highly recommend this dojo if you live in this area of Queens and it's worth the commute if you have to travel a bit to get there.
