Though the doors of the dojo owned and operated by Master Bruce Gunderson closed in 2009, Winning Edge Martial Arts continues to exist as WE Martial Arts Social Club based in Park Ridge, IL. The instructors and students have been supporting nearby MBD Martial Arts Academy in Des Plaines, IL. Emphasis is placed on shorei-goju karate as a foundation.
