By luck I happened to see a flyer when going to a pool party. After talking to the instructor, I knew this was the place for me. I have been looking for a traditional karate dojo for many years and found it here. My son and I attended an introductory class and never looked back. We have been going for over a year now. This is a one-of-a-kind, martial arts school where one can soar to heights matching one's interest and commitment.
I have attended many schools over the last 40 years
Many good ones and . .. some others
This instructor is teaching an authentic version of Goju in the Yamaguchi lineage
He is intelligent friendly a KIND while insisting on authenticity
This is not always an easy combination to find
In addition he does this after work for the love of the art not To make a living off his students
As a result he charges the lowest amount he can and the lowest I have seen short of free
As he is doing this for the art and the students and does not need to make a large profit classes are kept small and undesirable types need not be tolerated just for money
I really like this guy though I am not currently training with him and I may ask to return in the future when my health improves
63 year old guy so I do not always get to practice these days 🙂
