I have known Wood, Sensei for a little over 2 decades. He comes from some of the most well trained martial artists in the country and is always ready to greet you with a smile and handshake. The dojo is small and utilitarian, but the information given by Wood, Sensei and the ranking members of the dojo is rarely matched in eastern NC. Take the time, 3 months at least, to get to know him and the system, you won't be disappointed.

I have been a member of the school for about six months now where I have learned many valuable techniques. Sensei Wood always is encouraging and not only promotes an environment that is educational, but also fun . It is a great escape for routine life.
I’ve been a student here for years. I am grateful for the dedication of Wood Sensai who is very knowledgable in martial arts history, Japanese language, weapons and the application/bunkai of kata. The teaching of body dynamics helps students learn to generate power and effectiveness against larger opponents.
