This is not a regular karate class. It is a real ninju martial arts where you learn secrets in a technique to take someone down. The instructors are amazing teaching ther funny, nice and most important they teach excellent with any age or belt.

I only do the aikido classes, but it is definitely a good dojo to train at.
The owners are extremely nice, will help you out, and are very proficient in their arts. The place is generally very well equipped. Bathrooms, changing rooms, water fountain, katanas, bo staffs, short swords, and a lot of weaponry. There are some extremely interesting individuals that makes practice a bit more interesting.
I can only speak for the aikido program which is just amazing. Led by Sensei Tenegra, a aikidoka from the Phillipines, class is a blast. I can not say much about the aiki-ninjitsu system as I have only been exposed to it sligtly, but the owners know what they are teaching(atleast in my eyes).
I can barely find anything bad to say about it. At the very least some times the atmosphere is too relaxed, as if people are there to only have fun and not learn the art. But this is extremely rare and only happens when most of the class is either stressed out and just wants to relax(which in turn seems to be recognized by the owners). Usually class is extremely focused and there is zero goofing around.

This was the first (and currently attending) martial arts school I attended. The instructers are all very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable.
Michael Eichenberg is the head Sensei at The Warrior's Edge. Before beginning I was worried he would be a tough guy who would yell in your face. After meeting him, I discovered that he is a calm, nice, approachable person.
Every other person from white belt to black belt is eager to learn and eager to assist. I, personally, have become particularly close to one of the black belts and he always there ready to help and maybe even show me something a little advanced!
The curriculum is also very well done and organized. At every belt level, there is a DVD showing everything you must learn to get to the next belt level. Along with the DVD, there is the book written by Michael Eichenberg. In the book, there is history on the martial art, more detailed instructions on what is on the DVD, and other facts that are necessary to progress.
I feel that the best part of The Warrior's Edge is that moving forward is completely based on the individual. If you feel ready to test, go for it, but if you feel that you need more work, you can take all the time you want.
Ultimately, if you ever want to begin to learn how to fight, but are unsure what to study, I highly recommend Banzenkan Aiki Ninjutsu. I hope to see you there!
I took a martial arts class in college and loved it. Unfortunately, I've been searching for a place that I could believe in ever since that I felt was worth the time, money and effort. When I found the Warrior's Edge, everything clicked. The teachers were great, the lessons were empowering and I knew right away that this was the place for me. It was like joining a family. Everyone was (and is) so outgoing and helpful, the dojo feels like a 2nd home. There is a welcoming feeling as you enter. The lessons are down to earth and relative to things that might happen and the goals that are set are attainable for people of all ages. The kids have fun, the teens and adults learn and invest their time and energy in the dojo's belief system while they learn self defense techniques and better themselves on multiple personal levels. They offer private lessons, workshops and retreats as well! This place literally has everything you can ever want out of a martial arts studio. I promise that you will NOT be disappointed.
