My son has been a member since 2009 and the differences in his attitude and focus are just incredible. Their staff is always welcoming and professional, as such it really means something more to be part of the vortex martial arts family. Keep up the good work guys! OSU!
Completely disorganized. I can't believe that they can continue to operate in such an unprofessional manner.
They do make a good sell presentation, and sucked us in to prepay for a year--big mistake.
During the 1st 8 months that my son participated, they:
1) changed from the initial location to an alternate one, then back to the original one, then back to yet another new one, for a total of 4 different locations;
2) changed the dates/times of my sons class twice;
3) cancelled classes at the last minute with less than 24 hours notice several (at least 5-6) times. Especially annoying bc it often requires me to leave work early or arrange another ride or car-pool.
4) only about half of those times when they cancelled did they even call or email to inform me--every other time I didn't know until I brought my son and showed up to an empty studio;
5) postpone graduations ceremonies to the next belt twice because they could not secure the location or get the belts in time. (Would be funny if not so ridiculous).
I hold the owner responsible for this, as these all stem from his disorganization and lack of professionalism. (He blew me off when I complained or tried to discuss this with him.)
I have no significant complaints about the staff. They do a good job with my son and he enjoys being with them. Their only weakness is the varying class sizes so sometimes there are too many kids for them to maintain control/authority, and I don't think my son learns much at those times.
