Since 2000 on board USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN 76) and later retiring from the Navy in 2005, Scott Baker and his instructors have been teaching both children and adults mental and physical discipline through the practice of martial arts. Martial arts can help children build a strong foundation of self esteem and respect that can help improve academics, sports, and social activities. Adults can expect to get in great shape while learning effective self defense techniques. Our curriculum consists of techniques derived from traditional TaeKwonDo. Classes are designed to teach practical real life self-defense, as well as build a sound mind and body. In addition, we also provide training in Gracie Style Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Our mission is to empower students to enrich their personal, artistic, and professional lives through traditional TaeKwonDo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Training. While providing students with the various benefits resulting from highly functional training, we believe the highest purpose of our programs is to prepare students for the responsibilities of citizenship. Our programs are about real and powerful experiences, resulting in the discovery of innate capabilities and a heightened sense of responsibility. To that end, we encourage our students to use their knowledge to improve our communities through one act of leadership, public service, and mentoring at a time.
