The VTMAA “Ving Tsun Martial Art Association is dedicated to teaching Ving Tsun Kung Fu as it has been passed on directly from his Sifu Matt Johnson. Sifu Matt Johnson a direct student of “Ip Ching” the youngest son of the late Ip Man. The Ving Tsun Martial Art Association is an affiliate / authorized school teaching under the Matt Johnson Ving Tsun Association. We keep to the teachings as it has been passed to us, this is why the VTMAA is run the same as his Sifu’s school in Chicago IL and the same as his Sifu in Hong Kong.
The Ving Tsun Martial Art Association affiliate to Ving Tsun Matt Johnson Athletic Association one of the few with the direct link to teaching true Ip Ching / Ip Man Ving Tsun. Sifu Chris Kellner a 1st Generation Matt Johnson disciple and 2nd Generation to his Si Gung Ip Ching.

Ving Tsun is based on fighting principles that can give you life saving knowledge and skills.
Ving Tsun is a logical, scientific and yet simple martial art. Founded in China 400 Years ago, Created at the famous Shaolin Temple the founding base for all martial arts. The Ving Tsun system specializes in close range fighting and was the foundation upon which martial arts legend Bruce Lee built his system Jeet Kune Do.
Ving Tsun Kung Fu utilizes palm strikes, punches, knees, kicks and elbows delivered at close range. This system also capitalizes on the usage of angulations, leverage and body mechanics, instead of brute strength, and is designed to be an extremely effective art of defense for anyone who trains in it, regardless of size or strength.
Classes are non-competitive and every student learns at the pace they set for themselves.
