Greedy School, stay away!!!!!

My stepson attended there, and we don't have a lot of money, but were managing to get the lessons paid for. I am a Blackbelt in Shaolin Karate, and a Bluebelt in Kenpo. I have a full set of sparring gear in excellent condition, but the school told us that we couldn't use my gear, it had to be purchased from the school only. Really???? Like I said, I've taken karate for several decades, and have NEVER heard of such a thing, stay away from this school, they are not pacticing the principles that the martial arts teaches, find a better school than this!!

Like I disused with you over the phone, for liability reasons the gear has to be ordered through the studio in order to assure the safety of your son. You had told me that your wife had bought the gear second hand and I am not comfortable allowing your son to spar in gear that I cannot guarantee is safe. Hopefully as a parent you understand.
