Reviews of United Studios of Self Defense - Anthem

This is a horrible studio for children. My child came home repeatedly crying about how his instructor verbally abused him over and over. I'm not even using my real name because the manager who I believe is Mr. Staten scared me and my child with his horrible temper and attitude. I fear that his inability to control himself might lead to him calling us and yelling at us which frankly we've had enough of. If my husband wasn't in Afghanistan I would have someone to tell this man that he is an evil person. Either way it is what it is. As a single mom I was hoping that this would help my son find a male role model that he needed because his father is deployed so much, but all it did was break down his self confidence even more and I feel like a horrible mother. I do not recommend this place to anyone who cares about their children. Karate should be fun for the children, not something they dread going to. Please be careful if you take your child here because they are good salesmen but horrible people. I now have my son in jujitsu which he likes much better. I don't normally do reviews but I don't want any kid to go through the torment my son did. Please be careful before choosing this place for your family.
