This place cares more about money than your child. They seduce you into a contract (Don't Sign!!!) and are deceptive in their sales methods. If you or your children loose interest, become financially strained, or are dissatisfied with the program you will be forced to pay the remainer left on your 'contract' or be sued for multiple thousands, as I several former parents have learned, in order to be released. Then there are fees for everything! For a 10 dollar belt and a thin piece of wood, a student is charged for "graduation tests and hundreds for ceremonies" that are simply conveyor belts to collect money. Their instructors are fair at best and most of the time students instruct other students. The whole meaning, philosophy and the beauty of martial arts is completely lost in this place.
Do yourself and your children a significant favor and seek instruction elsewhere - if you want an after school program, try the Monroe YMCA program, it's significantly cheaper and they offer better quality martial arts training along with many other after school activities your child will enjoy much more than they ever will here. The owner is completely lost on the value of customer service and is totally self-serving - he hardly ever teaches a class and leaves most of the grunt work to the older students. We have never expreienced a more dreadful environment for a child of any age. This place will make your kid hate martial arts forever.

The school lacks disipline you expect in martial arts. Its also too small and crowded to stretch out before class. Its more like a day camp. Definitly not a school for a adult thinking of taken karate.

The warmups are to long, they tire you out, so you have no energy for the rest of class. if u have seen the other chinese movies, they do their karate flawless. here, the kids have no discipline. the little kids who go here dont even do anything. the black belts at my shcool have no leadership and discpline. the bathrooms are also very filthy

BEWARE
This place cares more about money than anything else. They seduce you into a contract (Don't Sign!!!) and are deceptive in their sales methods. If you or your children lose interest, become financially strained, or are dissatisfied with the program you will be forced to pay over a thousand dollars, or be sued for multiple thousands in order to be released. Their instructors are fair at best and most of the time students instruct other students.
Children are bullied by some of the young black belts; which demonstrates the type of results they provide. The whole meaning, philosophy and the beauty of the martial arts is completely lost in this place. Do yourself and/or your children a significant favor and seek instruction elsewhere.
School lacks martial arts discipline. Parents decide if their child should move up not instructors. School is nothing but a camp. If your an adult looking for a workout you have to consider that they run the school on the same schedual as Monroe Woodbury school system which means if the school is closed you cant train that day. Would not recommend this school if you are serious about training.
