Original pre-WW2 style UechiRyu as taught by Uechi Kanbun Sensei to Toyama Seiko Sensei. Current instructor/owner of Zankai is 9th Dan, training since 1974, and is a published author of a series of books recording the history, philosophies, and training concepts of old-style UechiRyu.
The following Martial Arts Styles are offered at UechiRyu Zankai Nagahama Dojo:
Training is kata-based, with conditioning, bunkai, and yakusoku kumite.
No competition training.
Tuesday and Thursday 7 PM-8:30 PM, and Saturday 1 PM-2:30 PM.
Class schedule is flexible during August, usually 2 classes per day.
No contracts, tuition for regular students is monthly.
Tuition for visiting students is per training session.
No age restrictions, but no baby-sitting.
