Are you a real black belt (BB) or only in your school? If you have a BB and are not certified by Kukkiwon of S. Korea and join another dojang/dojo - they will not honor your BB and you will have to start over as a white belt and *LEGITIMATELY* work your way up. Be prepared for this: when you go to U. S. Martial Arts Academy, Glen Ellyn, IL. Ask *GrandMaster?* Kim (who teaches at Glen Ellyn) "who was YOUR teacher?", he will not answer. When all the little BB kids go into Jr. High and brag "I am a BB from U. S. Martial Arts Academy" --I fear for them. Be a responsible parent, get your child into a legitimate dojang/dojo. This place only offers contracts. Save your money and/or get a lawyer. They will not modify their teachings to fit any disabilities, either. LR
I left this school as of August 21, 2017. You will need a lawyer to get out of this contract. There are other students who have tried to break their contracts due to: broken bones, did not learn anything new, just an aerobics class, did not learn any self-defense, other dojangs/dojos would not honor their black belt . .. the list goes on. Protest (peacefully) outside this US Martial Arts Academy with signs about this dojang, if necessary. The sidewalk is owned by the city of Glen Ellyn, not owned by U. S. Martial Arts Academy.
