Our son has been with this Sensei for over 8 years. It is a great experience for kids as well as the parents! It is great to belong to such an amazing "karate family" as what we have in the UKAI Midwest Club!
If you want to learn a true martial art - check us out! We are a COMPLETE martial art as karate was created to be. The curriculum includes not only the strikes that karate is famous for but things like chokes, ground fighting, nerve strikes. We take traditional Shotokan Karate and dig into the true (hidden) meaning behind the moves.
If you desire to win trophies or need to get a sticker to feel good then this is NOT for you. If you want to learn to develop skills which will help you in real life self defense situations and earn rank that actually feels like an accomplishment - join us!
We are part of the United Karate Association International. We have connections with many other clubs and instructors, some of the best martial artists in the world!
