TRIPLE J OF PAKS KARATE STUDIO was formed in March of 2013. Senior Master John Robertson (6th DAN), Master (Son) John Ross Robertson (4th DAN), and 1st Instructor (Cousin) Jeffry Kopsic (2nd DAN) formed Triple J of Paks Karate Studio. Not only was the studio designed to be family oriented, but it is also a handicapable studio. Currently the studio has students that have bone and joint disorders, autism, heart issues and amputations, including Senior Master Robertson who is an amputee. The three Founders/Instructors are also members of the Pennsylvania Harrisburg Referee Association who make a conscious effort to provide safe and equal competitive rules and regulations for tournaments.
They formed the school so that they could present the opportunity for all to train and a chance for families to train together by keeping costs low at only $30.00 per month. They train under Grandmaster Song Ki Pak, Founder and President of the United Tang Soo Do Federation and Paks Karate Academy, headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. Grandmaster Song Ki Paks Karate Academy is billed as the largest Tang Soo Do school in the world.
Triple J of Paks Karate Studio makes their donations in honor of John’s daughter and John Ross’ sister, Kiersten A. Robertson who passed away on March 4, 2011 at the age of 17. Their Daughter/Sister always gave, so it was extremely important for them to give back in her memory, whether it be through monetary donations or community involvement. They hope by giving back to the community, either with monetary donations or through community involvement, which will go throughout the community as in a Pay it Forward plan, getting more and more groups to help one another.
