Like most styles of martial arts in existence today, Youn Wha Ryu is a fusion of techniques. Primarily a stand up striking art incorporating techniques from Tae Kwon Do, Karate and Kung Fu; Youn Wha Ryu practitioners are also proficient at grappling and throwing ranges as well as on the ground. Youn Wha Ryu incorporates not just kicking and striking techniques; but also the throws and joint locks, as well as the ground methods and a variety of weapons training. An ever-evolving art, Youn Wha Ryu evaluates, modifies, and adds new techniques and fighting strategies on a regular basis.
