Coming to this dojo was one of the best moves I've ever made. Shihan Smith is passionate about his love for Christ, his martial art, and everyone he meets. The atmosphere is welcoming and fun. Learning to respect yourself and others is a foundational concept that is practiced by everyone, white belt to black belt and that's just the beginning. To be transparent, I am not very athletic and karate doesn't come naturally to me but that isn't an issue here. Everyone is eager to help you learn and extends enough grace when it doesn't come quickly. Obviously, I am a big fan of this dojo and Shihan but I'm sure you'll be just as happy here when you come.

A spiritualy uplifting environment. Sensei Stan & Sensei Dom are dedicated teachers of their trade and more importantly, they are daily practitioners of the budo they endeavor to share with the patrons of their dojo.

Advance understanding of meaning of being a martial artist. Understanding sincerety of practice: is not just kicking, punching, locking... an open minded person willing to learn will do well as long as pride is not an obstacle.
