Toyama Ryu Batto Jutsu

Our Introductory class is held Saturday 12-1:30 ( by appointment) at Geoff Gaudoin sensei's Shorin Ryu Dojo at 3340 Curry Ford Rd. 32806. Cost is $125.00 for 8 weeks. No uniform requirement. Only equipment needed is a wooden sword (bokuto) included as well as an intro DVD. After 1 or 2 sessions of Intro class you and the instructor decide if you want to continue. The next class is Intermediate and requires a white top, black hakama and Iai obi. We sell them at a discount. You will also need an Iai To, or unsharpened samurai sword. That class is $75.00 a month and you can continue in the Intro class also. Cutting (tameshigiri) class is at Shindai Aikikai and requires at least 1 year of Intermediate class. Cost is $85.00 a month and you can attend all 3 classes for that cost. Any questions, please contact Bob Elder at toyama1_2000@yahoo.com.

Programs & Class Schedule

This is the advanced class and involves tameshigiri. Generally the first part of class is kihon review. Second half is cutting. Must be in the Intermediate class for a year to participate. However, anyone is welcome to observe.
