Our program offers the most comprehensive self-defense instruction in the area. Every style of martial arts has its advantages at certain ranges and in certain situations. Our variety of classes ensures that our students will be prepared to face any challenge that lies ahead. Our classes are fun and mentally stimulating, while giving our students a great way to burn off stress and extra calories. We are here for one thing; to ensure that everyone who walks through our doors, regardless of age, experience, or fitness level, has the opportunity to learn how to protect themselves with top quality instruction in a safe and welcoming environment.
Classes Taught by owner and head instructor, Thomas Altizer. Thomas Altizer has been involved with the martial arts for over 20 years. He has training in Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu, Aikijutsu, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Wing Chun, Jeet Kun Do, Muay Thai, and Kali. He graduated from Radford University in 2010 with a degree in Exercise Sport and Health Education with a concentration in Martial Arts and Self-Defense. Thomas served as President and Head Instructor of the Radford University Karate Club for his last two years at RU. Thomas was a member of the 2009 ISJA United States Sport Jiu-jitsu Team, which took the gold medal at the 2009 ISJA Sport Jiu-Jitsu World Championships.
