I have been a student at Toma Dojo for about a year, along with my 12 year old daughter who joined me shortly after. This is a great school, with a focus on traditional Okinawan martial arts instruction. The teaching is targeted well to the abilities of individual students. The focus of instruction varies from hard physical work, such as sparring and circuit training, to more theoretical and conceptual areas. All-in-all, a well-rounded and enjoyable place to learn a martial art. Beyond the quality of instruction, tuition is very affordable, no contract is required, and the schedule is very flexible. A great place for both kids and adults.
