My 7 year old son has been attending Tokon for almost a year now. He has excelled in karate! I love the discipline that he has gained at Tokon!

It is a traditional dojo which we love!

The instructors take the time to make sure he is doing the karate proper.

The dojo has become like family. Everyone is so friendly.

Another thing I love is the students are taught to take the younger or new students under their wing and guide them!

My 6 year old son has been in karate since he was 4 yrs old. We just switched to Tokon about 2 months ago. I can't believe the difference in the teaching of karate.

It's been almost two years since our family (mom, dad, daughter, and grandson) has joined. Since we've joined, our physical health has improved vastly. My husband and I are in our 50s and we have reached levels of strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination that we thought was not possible.

Training 3-4 times a week produced definition in our muscles and stopped an expanding stomach dead in its tracks. Attending Tokon's conditioning and karate classes also helped my daughter and grandson excel in all physical/sport activties at their school. Both Senseis (husband and wife) are excellent instructors. They are both dedicated to their art and their students. We are very impressed with Sensei Marcus' ability to keep track of every student in his very diverse class and how he addresses each student's needs. Sensei Marcus will push you to your limits and makes sure you are putting your best and supports you until you succeed. For example, he makes sure you know and understand not only WHAT you're doing, but also WHY it needs to be done a certain way (whether to keep yourself from getting hurt, or to make sure you're hitting where you need to, etc). He also recognizes the strengths and weaknesses of his students and adapts to their needs. He is a very effective and stellar coach!

The atmosphere at Tokon is very collaborative. The students are a friendly group of people all ages, and every one encourages one another when challenges or exhaustion starts to set in. There truly is a sense of community at Tokon. I can honestly say that we never get bored. There are lots to learn, new challenges, and everyone is very supportive. If you want to learn how to really defend yourself and your loved ones, this is the place to go, whether you're a child or adult, whatever your age, its never too late. Our family highly recommends Tokon!
