Be cautious when contemplating this school. Mr. Norman will be really friendly at first. After a few years, he will start treating you/your child disrespectfully and making harsh remarks. You/your child will no longer feel welcome. When other students inquire about you, he would lie about your absence/availability. In terms of children, he can be kind if he's in the mood, but youngsters as young as five are required to care for their uniforms and will be verbally scolded if not to his liking. Talented students will be given limitations too. He can help children with disabilities, but he takes full credit for their progress. He never gives receipts, so expect to pay for products but not receive them.

Mr. Norman's school is an amazing place to learn Kung Fu. My kids love his classes - and best of all, he does all the teaching! The children are learning technique and position. They are also learning how to be confident, calm, and courteous. The adult classes are excellent as well - where they can learn without worrying about getting hurt. This is a great school for everyone!

Mr. Normal and the other instructors are patient with the students. They praise their hard effort and encourage them to do their best. They quickly, kindly, and firmly correct inappropriate behavior. They practice each move constantly and consistently during each class so that the students can master what they are being taught. My son loves Mr. Norman's classes.

He would not let me test for my next belt. I had to keep paying while everyone else tested. I am heavier than most of the students but should not pay extra. He would not give me the extra attention I needed. I did not pay some of my bills because he kept saying I need a few more months than the others so I paid him all I had and still no belt. He asked that I pay cash. Hat seems shady so he does not have to pay taxes. Shame on him

I attended this school for 3 years and 11 mo for a Tai Chi class. I learned a tremendous amount from Mr. Norman. Everyone in our class was notified in January 2015 by Sandi that the class was on hold for January because Mr. Norman had some training to do. After 3 months and no communication from the school, it is our belief that we were all lied to! Neither Mr. Norman or Sandi contacted any of the students in the class to tell us it was ending! This is a very unprofessional and inconsiderate way to end a class that has been going on for 3 plus years! None of the students in this class were treated with respect! I could never recommend this school to anyone after being treated so poorly in the end and neither will any of the other students from this class that I have spoken to!

Business aspect is not a priority for Mr. Norman!!

My twins attended this school before I decided to go myself. The man is in business to make money obviously since he his a business owner, however the profit IS NOT his priority. The thing that really impressed me was the fact that Mr. Norman treats ALL students with the same respect regardless of belt rank. Obviously he believes in giving honor where honor is due, such as the higher ranking belts, however he still takes the same amount of passion and time with his white belts as the black belts. I never met a more humble and honorable teacher.

Tim Norman's School is a great place for kids and adults. My kids and I both attend and we really love it. The classes are fun - the kids love to go. They remind me when it is time to go to classes! I enjoy the Tai Chi and the Kung Fu. Mr. Norman is very professional and he takes his time with each student. The class camaraderie is great - no one has to prove he is better than anyone else.

Excellent Martial Arts school

Tim Norman's school of Kung Fu conducts one of the best programs of matial arts instruction that I have ever witnessed. Having traveled to many cities and countries I can honestly say that Mr Norman is by far the best teacher and possess a unique ability to teach all levels.

Having read some of the reviews on this site, I am disappointed to see individuals that were frustrated at their own progress, take it out on the school with a bad review. In the modern society of fast food and instant access, people do not realize what dedication and commitment it takes to achieve high levels.

Having witnessed many years of classes, there was never discrimination in age, size, color or gender!!! In fact, it's quite the opposite. EVERYONE was always made to feel important!

I highly recommend this school to anyone that wants to succeed in life and learn to respect themselves and others!

This started out as a very welcoming school. As the years went by, the olive branch died. Children that are overweight do NOT fit the build for this school. Our children missed ONE quarter (which NOTHING new was learned)out of 5 years. We were told that due to their age and level, they would be taken aside and work towards their red(final belting before black/white) belt in another room. Instead, they were placed in a class with new and lower belts going over forms that they already knew and were starting from scratch. There was a form, swing stick, which they learned practically on their own from watching others. They were first taught the middle and end of the form, at the beginning, and told the form was not necessary for the belt. When they were to test for their child black/white belt, the "owner" told them, after WAISTING their time and ours, they didn't have the skills. Not saying much for the school's training practices. They were told 3yrs. in the beginning then it drug out to 5years. Their skill was there but after the treatment, desire was GONE!! Children will loose baby fat. Don't set your child/children up for disappointment if they are large. They will however learn about life and discrimination.

I am a former student at this school. The school started out nice but the more I progressed the program changed. Time after time I would ask if i was going to test for my black belt and he kept saying I don't know.On the test day I worked my but off to get the belt and after five years he said I didn't have the skill. If you are overweight do not attend this class because if you do then you will not succeed.

I am a former student and i was treated very bad I worked my a** off and my parents pay lots of money, we gave up Christmas shopping, Thanksgiving shopping, missed out on the entire summer, and lost family time just so we would make it on Monday between 6:00-9:00 and we did classes on Tuesday and Wednesday and Friday and even Saturdays and then are test was today and his excuse was that we did not have the skill but it was because we were over weight i even asked one of the other black belts and he said it took him some years because he was big. There were two big adults and they both are having a hard time because of their weight the instructor treats the girls really well then when it comes to the guys he acts different so if you work hard or even kiss his butt and you are big you will not get your black belt.

I went to this school and the only reason I'm no longer attending is because I had to move. Mr. Norman is an excellent teacher. He's been teaching for several years and has the patience and knowledge to help each student achieve to the best of their abilities.
