Tenkara Karate offers Traditional Japanese Karate, Self Defense Seminars, Lectures, Demonstrations and more...
Tenkara is the only Dojo in the region that does not require a contract.
Tenkara caters to mostly professional adults, with an award winning program for ages 4-8. The program is called the Grasshopper program and has been featured on numerous radio and print articles.
Tenkara is a traditional Dojo where classes are taught in Japanese. Class schedule can be found at www.saratogakarate.com.
Tenkara is also very involved in area charitable organizations, including free lectures for area schools about self defense and anti-bullying issues. We are closely aligned with local, state and federal law enforcement organizations as well.

Tenkara is a member of the International Martial Arts Assoc, the International Union of Martial Artists, the United States Shihankai Organization.
Because we don't require a contract, parents are more relaxed knowing that if their child has a change of heart, for any reason, they are in no way obligated financially. "It's bad business, but it's great karate!"
