Tenchi Isshinryu Karate Dojo
Welcome to Tenchi Isshinryu Karate Dojo where our goal is to teach Isshinryu Karate and Okinawan Kohudo as taught by Sensei A.J. Advincula, a pioneer of Marine Corps Martial Arts. It was in the late 1950's that Sensei Advincula began studying Isshinryu karate from Tatuso Shumabuku, the developer of this powerful and lightening fast system of karate. Since then Sensei Advincula has become one of the foremost authorities on Isshinryu karate.
Here at Tenchi Isshinryu Karate Dojo we also teach and support the traditions, history, customs and courtesy of the Okinawan culture. This is so we can better help our students understand the Okinawan way of life which we believe is an essential component to learning Isshinryu Karate and Okinawan Kobudo.
