been studying Brazilian jujitsu under the teaching of Chris Manley and many other well trained participants now for over a month and have gotten everything i have wanted out of the class. I'm having fun, getting in great shape, and feeling more confident in my safety if a problem were to ever be aroused! I would absolutely and have recommended this school of martial arts to a friend.

At Team Link Pittsfield I have made countless friends. I got in incredible shape now weighing 180lbs down from 265+lbs. Ive gained confidence, self-esteem and the ability to defend myself and my family. Chris Manley is an amazing top quality instructor who trains with world champions on a daily basis and his technique and understanding is second to none!!

I love this place every time I go there!! Definitely treat you like family weather it is day one or been there for 20 years!!
The first time you enter the building, all you see is a regular fitness gym. If you ask the front desk where you go for the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class, they will tell you to head downstairs. At the bottom of the stairs there is a door, past the door straight ahead is a washing machine and dryer, when you get further into the room you will find a back wall with boxes piled up to the ceiling. There is a banner hanging before the boxes saying Team Link Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. To the left of the banner, there is a doorway that leads to an open space with mats taking up the majority of the room. It may not look like much, but this is where your life will change if you give it a chance. From the very first time you meet the team, they are welcoming and helpful. Everyone will go over and introduce themselves to you. They are very patient and will answer any question you have. The coach has a very good understanding of the sport and breaks down moves into easy to follow steps. The older students are also very passionate and you never know what new video or move they have seen that they’ll want to try out before class. This is a sport that takes up a lot of time and patience, but if you stick with it you will gain self-confidence, feel better about yourself, and find a place where you will make lots of friends.
