Led by 4th Degree Black Belt Sensei Nelson Sunu and WKC PanAmerican 4 time gold medalist Brent Haney, Team Ascension Martial Arts proudly brings IOSTK (International Organization of Sport and Traditional Karate) forms, kumite, and self defense training to Minnesota, and live-streamed all over the world.

Students are immersed not just in traditional and sport karate, but also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Spanish language and culture several times a week. Additionally, karate-do is presented with and learned using proper Japanese terminology.

Come to learn karate-do, leave a sportsman in the martial arts world! And while there, you likely will pick up new language skills too.

Programs & Class Schedule

No contract nor exam fees. Just one flat all inclusive rate depending on the program you choose. We have a program plan to fit any budget as we believe karate-do should be accessible to everyone on any budget. In addition to flexible class times, we also offer an in person program supported with virtual live classes. Building a home dojo to accompany your in person experience is one of our specialities.

Please call for program and pricing. We hold classes for children and adults starting at age 3 and up. Several discount programs apply including for families, military, health care workers, first responders, US Foreign Service, and teachers.
