Mr. Roger Wehrhahn Shihan (teacher of teachers) began his Martial Arts training in 1969 in Kearny, NJ with an excitement and enthusiasm that has now spanned over 4 decades. In 1984, Shihan began his formal training in Iaido under Mitsuzuka Takeshi, Sensei, founder of the San Shin Kai, at a summer long series of seminars in NYC and by September, that very same year, was in Tokyo, Japan studying Iaido at the hombu dojo. Shihan Wehrhahn holds the rank of 6th dan in Muso Shinden Ryu Iaido and is currently the chief instructor for the North American San Shin Kai, USA. Roger Wehrhahn, Shihan (Teacher of Teachers) leads the Tatsu Ken Jutsu Kyokai Iaido program here at Karate Quest Dojo.

Programs & Class Schedule
Dedicated to excellence in Iaido/Japanese sword training. We are known for our systematic, common sense, step-by-step approach to presenting Iaido/Japanese sword curriculum to the beginner as well as advanced students.
Weekly classes are held on Wednesday nights at 8:00 pm. After the student reaches a certain level of proficiency they may be interested in Shihan's year long, once a month three hour intensive seminar given at this location. Please visit our website (search Mountain Teachings, Hawley PA) for more information about Shihan Wehrhahn as well how to purchase over 50 instructional DVD's on Iaido, Nippon Kendo Kata, Karate and Kobudo.
