The classes are rarely more than 9. Most of the time they will be within 3-5 students. This creates an almost family like atmosphere with classes as close to a private lesson as you could get without the extra $$. Mr. Tapper, Mr. Bowen, and Mr. Hertzberg know what they are doing. All three came from Mr. Hawkins school out in west L.A. Mr. Hawkins studied under Senior Grandmaster Ed Parker, the founder of the system. American Kenpo is explosive like thunder, effective like lighting, and adaptable like water. This is a great place no matter what your background in Martial Arts is, or what your personal goals are. I would recommend this school to anyone in a heartbeat.
