Many other hands on arts to choose from in Dutchess county. Another tang so do factory looking to take your money. Wake up people learning korean, praying, buying books and forms are not going to help you defend yourself.

We have been a part of the T&T Karate family for a year and a half now, and I cannot say enough about this fantastic school! Each child is taught with love, patience and compassion and their individual needs are always met. T&T not only teaches Tang Soo Do, but also skills and behaviors that are useful in everyday life. One of my favorite parts of our school is that the instructors help everyone think about your total health, including eating healthy and in the correct manner. We love balancing mind and body with healthy food, exercise, and a clear, positive mind! You cannot walk into the Do Jang and not feel the positive energy and joy there.

The school is run by a mother daughter team that is caring for all students beyond words. Both care and love all their students and will bend over backwards to watch them succeed. This is the right school for all ages from 5-105.

Martial Arts is so much more than kicking and punching, it is a way of life. At T& T karate this philosophy is embraced. Top notch instructors that love what they do with a passion. Members of the Pan- Am Tang Soo Do Federation, it is truly like one big family. Through Martial Arts you can get in shape, make fantastic friends and truly become a better person. Children that participate in Martial Arts stay healthy, learn discipline, become better students in school develop a positive self image and build confidence. It doesn’t matter your age or your physical ability, you will find a place in this Martial Art family!

Having belonged to more than one martial art school, I know there are fundamentally different kinds of environments-yin and yang. Some schools are a lot like boot camp or being on a high school athletic team. In such places there is a lot of verbal exhortation exhortation, extrinsic motivation and emphasis on physical abilities and prowess. Some people need a drill sergant in their face to motivate them. There is another kind of school, and TnT Karate is an outstandiing example. The emphasis is on nurturing internal motivation and indomitable spirit. Instructors guide and correct, encouraging excellence and helping each student to achieve. The environment allows for transformation. Humiliation of students is never a tactic at TnT. Its a place where studenhts can begin their martial arts journey from where they're at, even if they are weak, overweight, over 50 or timid. Its the Yin vs Yang diffference.

T & T Karate offers a warm family environment that allows it's students to grow at their own rate. Classes are small and personal but yet challenging at the same time. It is a great place for both adult and children who want to be serious martial artists. We also do fun nights for the students and community fundraisers for children. Summer karate camp is a must and a lot of fun for all. They emphasize discipline, integrity and self improvement.

I have been active in martial arts, on and off, for the past 35 years, the majority of my training was with Grand Master Kami Moghaddam at Korea Institute of Martial Arts at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles California. After moving to New York, I searched for a place to continue my training and was referred to TnT Karate in Hyde Park New York. I am now on my second year at TnT and would strongly recommend this school to anyone interested in Korean Martial Arts, specifically Tang Soo Do. Head Instructor Veronica Teuschler is second to none in her teaching skills. I would highly recommend TnT Karate to anyone interested in martial arts training, from beginner to advanced, from 6 to 60.
